Biography
Dr. Davis was born in Augusta, Georgia and moved to Macon, Georgia where he was raised with is 3 younger siblings. He attended Stratford Academy in Macon, where he bolstered his academic groundwork needed to pursue a career in medicine, while capturing state titles in baseball and track and field. Following school in Macon, he proceeded to attend the University of Georgia, gathering a Bachelors of Science in Biology and achieving Magna Cum Laude recognition. Following completion of his undergraduate training, his medical educational opportunity began in Augusta, Georgia at The Medical College of Georgia, where he obtained top marks and secured a spot in orthopedic surgery residency. This opportunity came in Chattanooga, Tennessee at one of the most reputable surgical programs in the southeast. Dr. Davis, his wife, Anna, and son, Trey, made the journey out of Georgia to pursue this long set goal of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. Following many hours of hard work, welcoming their second child, Ellie to the family, and forming lasting friendships in Chattanooga, the decision to move back to Anna’s hometown of Moultrie became clear when an opportunity at CRMC became available.
As he steps into his career in South Georgia, Dr. Davis has the goal of investing in the community, providing conservative, caring and quality surgical treatment to the people of the Moultrie family. As this relationship grows, he desires to provide an outlet that people of the community feel comfortable utilizing for their musculoskeletal ailments.
Outside of work, Dr. Davis enjoys many things. At the top of this list includes time with his two beautiful children, Ellie (1) and Trey (6). He enjoys his time as a father and a husband to his wife, Anna. In addition to family time, his other extracurricular passions include archery deer hunting, golf, bass fishing, physical fitness, music and the outdoors. He is excited about the opportunity to instill these joys that the South Georgia environment can provide to his children, as they grow up in the safe and unique Moultrie community. This move brings about excitement and joy, as Dr. Davis and his family plan to invest in this community and it’s members for years to come.
